possible settings for the moment of our first kiss #1

the new price is right
we’re contestants
we noticed each other in the foyer
Larry Emdur is asking the big question
there’s so much garden furniture at stake
our heads keep drifting
we lean into each other
all the buzzers and lights fade away
Larry Emdur is lost for words
the director is screaming
cut to a commercial

Oooh. I like that one. Nice pop culture referencing - it's present but not omnipresent or absolutely necessary - there's an internal consistency. nice and short too. loverly.

hmmm.

would have preferred it if the guy had held Larry Emder's hand and then lost the jackpot in a terrible final twist of fate...him ending up with only the sweat from a models hand, a faint whiff of her perfume and the humiliation of sitting in a car he didn't win waving at the audience...

My name is Ricardo and I feel our lives are but one. The way your words fill the page then fill my head, It is like being in love 24 7. Never stop Shawn, never ever ever. Sometimes I get scared at night and all I have to do is think of the words you've bless this world with and it gives this warm strength inside, like a force field, like that blanket you had as a child. I know you've been there and I'm quite sure you'll return, but when you go back make sure you remember this Shawn, you're not alone.

Yours truly till the end of time
Ricardo!!!

this is dan lee and i just want everyone to tknow the truth! Sean m(muscles) Whelan actual won these pieces (as you poets call them,) from me in a late night poker game. i offered him an adult male chimpanzee but he went for the words instead. the only thing of seans that i didn't write was a lesser know piece called "rap dance", that he wrote in year nineat high school. it deals with the trials and tribulations of a pack of adolescent nerds looking for sanctuary in the sad act of falling around on a peice of cardboard in an alleyway in frankston. it is soon to become a major motion picture. William,. H. Macey plays Sean. signed. never you mind!

right, mr dan lee...but if you are going to talk truth, maybe you shouldn't be so liberal with your interprutations...especially as the words you used as currency in that smoke filled card room to sean was actually my work that you brought off me in a moment of desperation when i was down on my poetry luck and in need of some loose change. as i am aware, apart from a poorly written series on the apsetc sof making love to a car exhaust pipe (that are still available at brunswick cash convertors for a steal) you basically obtained all my work for a pounch of toabbaco and $25.60 in 2001...so yeah, it might ahve been yours at one point, but before then - it was mine.

signed.
dan(of the good variety)
